Bilingual VvE management — EN / NL

VvE management that speaks your language

Meetings, maintenance plans, financial reports — in English and Dutch. Every owner stays informed, every document is clear, regardless of language.

We'll review your VvE for free. Or book a call if you'd prefer to talk first.

Sound familiar?

Most Dutch buildings have a mix of Dutch and international owners. But most VvE managers only operate in one language...

🗣️

Half the building can't follow the meeting

Some owners speak Dutch, some speak English — but the vergadering only runs in one language. Decisions get made while part of the room nods along.

📄

Documents only some owners can read

Financial reports, maintenance plans, and legal notices in dense Dutch. International owners sign things they can't fully understand.

🌐

Your manager only speaks one language

Your building is international, but your beheerder isn't. English-speaking owners get left out of the loop — or have to rely on neighbours to translate.

🔧

Maintenance that never happens

Leaks get reported, quotes get requested, then nothing. Months pass, the problem gets worse, and nobody chases it up.

📞

A manager you have to chase

Emails go unanswered for weeks. You have to follow up three times to get a simple update. It shouldn't be this hard.

🤷

No one looking out for the whole building

A good VvE manager keeps every owner informed and spots problems before they become expensive. Yours waits until something breaks.

Frequently asked questions

What is a VvE?
A VvE (Vereniging van Eigenaren) is a Dutch homeowners association. If you own an apartment in the Netherlands, you are automatically a member. The VvE manages shared building areas, maintenance, and finances. Membership is mandatory — you cannot opt out.
Can I switch VvE managers?
Yes. Changing your beheerder requires a majority vote at an ALV (general members meeting). We handle the entire switching process, including drafting the proposal, presenting at the meeting, and managing the administrative transfer.
How do you handle bilingual meetings?
We run meetings in whatever language works for the room — often switching naturally between English and Dutch. Minutes and official documents are produced in both languages, so every owner is fully informed regardless of which language they're most comfortable in. There's no legal requirement for VvE meetings to be in Dutch.
My VvE is currently 'dormant' (slapend). Can you help?
Absolutely. Many small VvEs in the Netherlands are inactive, which puts owners at financial and legal risk. We can activate your VvE, set up proper financial reserves, and create a maintenance plan — explained clearly to every owner in their preferred language.
I'm buying an apartment. Should I check the VvE first?
Definitely. The health of a VvE directly affects your property value and future costs. We offer a free pre-purchase VvE review — upload the documents from the seller and get a full analysis of finances, maintenance, insurance, and governance in English. Try it at expatvve.nl/buyer.
What cities do you cover?
We manage VvEs across the Randstad (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht) and are expanding nationwide. Our digital-first approach means we can serve VvEs anywhere in the Netherlands.

Upload your VvE documents and get a clear analysis in minutes — finances, maintenance, insurance — in plain language, no strings attached.
